Learn how to get the most from
your PFAFF 5D Software
Software Savvy is a monthly
series of lessons taught by Phil Carlton & Don Lusk.
Each month’s lesson will utilize
the various tools and features from the different modules in the 5D
Embroidery Suite. We also utilize various hoops, accessory feet, and
embroidery techniques.
Required software is the PFAFF
5D Suite or the Husqvarna Viking 5D Professional software. Our classes
utilize the latest features, so your software should have the latest
updates installed.
The goal of Software Savvy is to help you learn the features of
your 5D Software so you'll feel comfortable combining and editing
purchased designs or even digitizing your own original designs. Students
will need a laptop computer with the PFAFF 5D Suite or Viking 5D
Professional software installed with all the current updates.
We offer three Software Savvy
classes each month:
- 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
- 4th Tuesday of the month at 2 p.m.
- 4th Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. - (this session is recommended for
software beginners.)

it in purchase the design from myembroideries.com in order to follow
along during class.
We have never required the purchase of anything additional for a
Software Savvy class before, but think this is a fantastic lesson. The
design (#211705) is available through myembroideries.com. Keep an eye
out for MyEmbroideries discount codes on the PFAFF web site.
February's class will feature several short
mini-lessons to give you practice with different software features.
