 Fun
to Sew has combined forces with Hoopsisters.com to offer
their unique Embroidablock™ of the Month program
for 2009. The unique look of Embroidablock™ combines
piecing with embroidery to produce a look of elegance
and add interest to your quilts. The blocks are Pieced,
Decorative Stitched, Embroidered and Quilted all in
the Hoop! The Block of the Month is designed to give
both the novice and master quilter a method of quilting
that uses little or no math, requires minimal cutting,
is innovative, fun and results in every block sewn to
perfection!
The
Moore class will be the 3rd Tuesday of each month beginning
February 17th - we've got a 2 p.m. class and we will
possibly add a 5:30 p.m. class on the same day if the
first one fills up. The Edmond class will be on the
4th Wednesday or each month beginning February 25th
at 10:30 a.m.
The
quilt for 2009 is entitled "Crazy Compass"
and is absolutely exquisite. As you see from the sample
pictures, different fabric choices make each version
of the quilt look totally different!
We
will be meeting once a month for 10 months. The first
nine months you will be stitching four blocks each month.
The tenth month we will teach you Hoopsisters' unique
sashing and joining technique. The
blocks are available in 5" and 8" versions,
so the quilt can be made on the Creative 2140/2144/2170
series as well as the Creative Vision embroidery machines.
The 8" block size is perfect for the new Elite
Hoop.
Fun
To Sew is the only store in Oklahoma City offering this
new technique. Be sure and sign up early, class size
will be limited. Call store for more details.

HASKINS HERITAGE QUILT
Under the direction of Carol Vines. Block of the
Month Quilt. Or, should we say BLOCKS of the month.
This is Jenny's latest creation and is featured in her
new book Jenny's Heritage Quilt. This is slightly different
from the other quilts that Jenny has done. You will
do more than one block each month with some embroidery
done before class. Very little of the embroidery is
done directly on the blocks. It will be a great challenge
for you Jenny Haskins lovers. See class description

to create a floral cross stitched design. Also, look at the
text functions in Cross Stitcher, and demonstrate scanning

Part 1- Use 4D Design Creator to create this festive teddy
bear design from built-in clip art. This class will look at
the automatic digitizing tools used in 4D Design Creator,
including the QuickStitch fill, Applique tools and Satin Trace.
JUNE - 4D Design Creator Basics,
Part 2 - Taking the design we began in May, find out how easy
it is to edit the design and change fill patterns to give
the design more visual interest.

To Sew's New Owner Class is a series of three sessions designed
to teach you all about your new Pfaff sewing machine.
- Learn about the controls, accessories, and feet included
with your machine.
- Learn how to thread the machine, change needles, wind bobbins,
etc.
- Learn cleaning and maintenance tips to keep your machine
running well.
- Learn sewing techniques with various feet.
- Learn embroidery techniques including hooping, threads,
and stabilizers.
- Learn how to connect your embroidery machine to your computer.
New Owner classes are offered monthly.
The class is included with the purchase
of your sewing machine from Fun To Sew.
We want you to get the most out of
your sewing or embroidery machine, so if you need a refresher,
you are welcome to repeat the New Owner class if space is
available.

Fun
To Sew Class Policies
Full payment of the class fee
must accompany your registration.
Class space is limited, so please register early. Register by
mail, email (fun2sew@sbcglobal.net),
or in person with cash, check, or credit card.
Cancellations: If you cancel
one week or more prior to the class start date, you will receive
a store credit. No credits will be issued past that one week window.
Payment policy: When you register
for a class we will take your payment and put it on "hold." If you
pay by credit card or check, those items will not be processed until
one week prior to the class. A cash payment will be "held" as well
in your name. In the event the class is cancelled by the store due
to weather or lack of sign up, you may pick up your check (or we
can shred it for you) or your cash refund, if that is how you paid.
Credit card info will be shredded as well.
You will receive a class supply list upon payment of your class
fee. The cost of supplies is not included "in the fee unless otherwise
noted. Class supplies need to be purchased from Fun to Sew, and
in our appreciation you will receive a 10% discount.
If you need to use one of our machines for a class, just let us
know at the time of sign-up as we have a limited number. This is
a great way of "test driving" a machine if you are thinking of purchasing
a new one.
Please be considerate of others by not bringing children to class
or wearing heavy perfume, as some may be allergic to the scent,
of the perfume, that is! PLEASE turn off all cell phones and beepers.
Please be on time, and notify us if you are unable to attend so
we know not to expect you.
